Monday March 22nd 1886 I was all the forenoon going about town to invite company for next Friday night. I practiced most of the afternoon while Mother was gone to town. I got a present of a hundred dollars from father today. I wrote him a short letter. I was tired and went to bed early. Tuesday March 23rd 1886 I sewed some and began fixing the collar on my bead waist. Mother was at church in the afternoon. I had a letter from Will and wrote to him in the evening. I finished my satin waist today. Wednesday March 24th 1886 I cleaned up the house and practiced some this forenoon. I went to the funeral of our old friend, Ike Garretson in the afternoon and was at Hatts a while. Fanny & Minnie were visiting there. I worked on edging in the eve. went to bed early. Father is seventy years old today Thursday March 25th 1886 Hattie and Minnie brought the children over for the day. I did not accomplish much I finished the wrap for my satin [suit?] and the collar for my beaded waist. Mother was in town jist before supper. Friday March 26th 1886 I gave the house a cleaning up this morning and baked cake. Aunty Walker came over early in the afternoon. Mother went over to church. I worked on lace while visiting with Aunty. I had a very pleasant card party of ten couple in the evening. Saturday March 27th 1886 I spent the forenoon with Cresa Springer and went to Hatts to dinner. Aunt Linda was there she had jist got home.
