Sunday April 4th 1886 I went to church this morning and was at Hatts for dinner. When I came home found Bevington and Southerland here for a visit. I read a little after they went home. Lee took flowers to Robs grave. Monday April 5th 1886 I did a large washing this morning and was in town all the afternoon. I got my green dress and the skirt cut ready to bring home with me. I got my new wrapper too. Mother went to church at night. Tuesday April 6th 1886 I was busy sewing on my green dress all day. Mother was in town most of the day. Wrote to Ida in the evening. weather pleasant. Wednesday April 7th 1886 I helped iron in the forenoon. The children were over here for the day. I was in town all the afternoon making calls; doing shopping and having work done at the dentists. I heard from Will. Ott took me to the Opera house in the evening to hear the English Opera Company give the opera "Martha" I was tired nearly to death when I got home. Thursday April 8th 1886 I work about the house and sewed a little in the forenoon while Mother was gone to town. I worked on my wrapper all the afternoon and wrote to Will in the evening. Had a letter from Will Work. Friday April 9th 1886 I sewed all day on my wrapper. Mrs Hart was here in the afternoon. Saturday April 10th 1886 We had company today. Miss Fanny Hepburn, Mattie Fletcher, Alice Miller and Ella Robinson. It rained so Miss Fanny and Alice staid all night. I finished my stand cover this evening.
