Sunday April 18th 1886 I was working about the house all the forenoon. I took the things all out of my trunk and put them in a box. Mother went over to Hatts and stayed all the afternoon. I read in the evening. Monday April 19th 1886 I was working about the cleaning all day. We put down mothers carpet in the bedroom of the kitchen. I cleaned the garret and Mays room beside the hall closet. The man began papering the library. Tuesday April 20th 1886 We hired the washing done this forenoon.Mother cleaned out the cellar I fixed the carpet for the library and helped wash. I had a letter from Will which I answered. The man finished papering the library and I put the carpet down in the afternoon. weather pleasant. Wednesday April 21sy 1886 I did a large ironing before noon. The boys moved one desk in the library and I arranged the books in it and did some little sewing after putting the clean clothes away. Hatt was over all the afternoon. Ott got home from the west at four oclock. There are two men at work painting the outside of the house. I went with Ott to Minnie Mcs progressive euchere party. We had a nice time. I got the best prize a stand mirror. Thursday April 22nd 1886 I felt wretchedly today from being up late last night. Mother was in town most of the forenoon and I put the books in the other desk in the library that the boys moved down this morning. I went to town in the afternoon got my brown dress and took it down to the girls. I got a few little things to bring home with me. I went to bed early I was so tired and sleepy
