Wednesday May 5th 1886 It was a lovely day and Ott and Hatt were gone all day in the country to invite the friends to the wedding a week from today. Mother washed some and I ironed a little in the afternoon and put up pictures and curtains. Charlie was home for an hour and Mother and I got him some dinner. I had a letter from Will. Anna Gilbert and Winnie Givens wedding cards. I wrote to Will in ther afternoon. Thursday May 6th 1886 Mother did a large washing. I cleaned the upper story by taking the whole day for it. Hatt was over for dinner and we talked constantly of plans for the wedding. Mother was in town in the afternoon. I had lettters from Will, John Hart and Mrs Talbott. I wrote to John Hart. Mrs Folsom called on me. Friday May 7th 1886 It was a splendid day. We ironed and I cleaned the parlors and finished fixing up the library. I did some little sewing in the morning. Clara Remly called in the afternoon. I had a letter from Mrs Woolf in Delevan. Will is thirty eight years old today. Saturday May 8th 1886 Hatt came over this morning and we baked cake all day. We made fifteen cakes. I had a letter from Will. The last I will get. After supper I walked over with Hatt and we went to see about the dishes we need on Wednesday. I went down to the girls and brought home my wedding dress. It was dark when I got home. Ott went to the depot to meet Will. he came on the ten oclock. We were all so glad to see him and I have so much to talk with him about.
