Thursday May 20th 1886 I wrote a little this morning. talked a good deal and unpacked some of our things. The afternoon and evening was spent in visiting I made Will a neck tie like my brown dress. Friday May 21st 1886 Will and I went down town early this morning and I was at Offetts awhile and he called on his Aunt near by. We then drove down to Marseyville to see some of the Stinson families down there. We had a splendid old fashioned days visit We got home just at supper time and spent the evening home. Saturday May 22nd 1886 I did some writing in the forenoon and Mary and I were down town all the afternoon. Mattie had supper ready when we got home and as we brought the boys some cigars they did not go down. There was a heavy storm near here in the afternoon. Sunday May 23rd 1886 We were visiting among ourseleves till nearly noon when we went up to Mrs Dunlaps where we spent a pleasant time. The evening was taken up at home. We went to bed early. Monday May 24th 1886 We got up early this morning. I did quite a little washing. Will took Mary and I up to Charlie Dunlaps after dinner. Tuesday May 25th 1886 Mart took Will and I to town this morning. We took dinner at Offetts. The day was taken up with callers and going down street In the evening Will and I with Anna and her husband spent the evening at Marion Minears. It was pleasant. I had [the following text is written vertically in the right margin of the above entry] a letter from home.
