Wednesday May 26th 1886 Anna and I were downtown this morning. and Will and I went to his Aunty Cutlers for dinner. and from there to his cousin John Tomlinsons for supper. We had a delightful visit in both these places. Mart sent the buggy in for us and when we got home found an old friend of Wills there. I heard from home again today. Robbie has the scarlet fever in light form and Father writes from Topeka that George has lost their little boy with that disease. Thursday May 27th 1886 We were busy all the forenoon getting our things packed up. I wrote a short letter to Hatt. Mart and Mary came to town with us. We bade the folks good-by and started for Piketon. We stopped with Wills Aunt and made some calls after supper. Friday May 28th 1886 Will and I starterd early to go out and see the Andersons. The drive was perfectly delightful. we met Fen coming in and went on out to Wills. he has been very sick indeed. We enjoyed the visit and came home in time to spend an hour in the old grave yard. We made calls in the evening Saturday May 29th 1886 Will was around Piketon early in the forenoon and him and I with his Aunt took dinner at Mrs Patterson. We started away from Piketon in the afternoon and came part way to Portsmouth to stay over Sunday with a cousin of Wills. The home is so beautifully situated and the people are so pleasant that I will be so happy here. Robbie is three years old today.
