Sunday May 30th 1886 It was a very warm day. I wrote a little and we sat around the home visiting. It was a day happily spent. Monday June 1st 1886 Will and I spent the day at his cousin Jim Watkins It was three miles up the canal and the ride was very pleasant. The evening was spent at Larmons where we stop. Tuesday June 2nd 1886 Will and I visited at his cousin Bruce Watkins till after dinner when we packed up our things and started for Portsmouth on the three oclock train. I am charmed with the friends here. They all came to spend the evening I found one letter here from Hatt. Wednesday June 3rd 1886 I wrote some this morning and visited with the cousins. In the afternoon Joe Reed and his wife took Will and I for a drive, and all were invited to their home for the evening where we had such a very pleasant visit. Thursdday June 3rd 1886 I was at Sue & Sallies wll the forenoon. Soon after dinner Will and I walked down the other side of town to call on a cousin of his. Late in the afternoon we went to visit at Sorn Reeds. The visit was most pleasant. There was an entertainment that they were all going to in the evening that I was most anxious to attend but soon after supper I began to feel badly and was not able to go. It was a great disappointment to me and it kept Sue & Will at home.
