Sunday June 12tth 1886 It was a fearful warm day but Will and I went to church. we spent the afternoon at Venes and went down to Uncle John McKinstys for supper and to stay all night. Monday June 14th 1886 It was a hot day. Will was working all the forenoon to pack up things. I visited with the folks. Soon after dinner we went up to Venes and I dressed to go down to Eva Taylors There was a shower that delatyed our going. We spent the evening there and went to Duncans to stay all night. Tuesday June 15th 1886 Lizzie Duncan and I went out calling all the forenoon. was at Joan Woolfs, Mrs Houghs and Bakers. We ate dinner at Duncans and late in the afternoon went up to Venes. We packed up our trunk tonight. weather warm and showery. Wednesday June 16th 1886 We started from Delavan at nine oclock. We spent four hours in Peoria visiting at Joe Duncans house. We had a pleasant ride from there home qwhere we arrived a little after nine in the evening. Ott was at the depot. The folks were awaiting us and we had a pleasant hours talk before going to bed. Thursday June 17th 1886 Our trunks were brough over this morning and we unpacked them. Anna did my washing and we put up cherries and straw berries today. Laste in the afternoon Hatt fixed up her things and took the children home. The weather is cooler. I am glad to be at home once more and get at my work.
