Friday July 9th 1886 I was busy all the forenoon and in the afternoon went out with Will to the lot to dig a spring. It was a dreadful hot afternoon we brought some of the cattle in. Saturday July 10th 1886 I was busy all the forenoon. Will got one of the colts in the barn after dinner and put the harness on her. Hatt was over and Mother went home with her. May and I got the supper. Will went over after supper for his shave. Sunday July 11th 1886 Will and I went down to Uncle Georges for the day. The ride was hot and dusty but we wanted to see about the pasture down there. We all visited on the porch in the eve. Monday July 12th 1885 I went out to the west farm with Will in the forenoon to see about the hay. In the afternoon I sewed on a dress for May. Mother was over town in the afternoon. No rain yet. Tuesday July 13th 1886 I finished Mays dress in the forenoon and after dinner Mother went to the depot with her to start to berlington I was talking to Will most of the afternoon. Wednesday July 14th 1886 We had the washing done this morning and Mother and I ironed part of the things before I went to town about for oclock. Will was out to the pasture and did not got home till late for dinner. I staid over to Hatts for supper and he came after me in the evening.
