Monday July 26th 1886 We had a large washing done this forenoon and just at dinner time Harry Moekler and family came. We visited the afternoon and evening with them. as they stayed all night with us. Tuesday July 27th 1886 Mother did part of the ironing this morning and I finished it. She went over to Hatties to spend the day with the Moeklers. I put the clothes away in the afternoon and read. Wednesday July 29th 1886 I helped about the work today and did not feel well enough to do much else I have such a bad cold. Thursday July 29th 1886 I was doing some little mending in the forenoon. I read in the afternoon. There was a feardful hot wind all day. Friday July 30th 1886 Edith is five years old today. I worked about the house all the forenoon. Therre was a party here for Edith in the afternoon of her Mothers get up. The supper was set in the yard and the company did not go home till nine oclock There was about thirty here and all appeared to enjoy themselves. I felt quite badly with my cold. Saturday July 31st 1886 We put in the forenoon cleaning up things after the picnic. Mother went over to Hatts for dinner and Will and I sat out in the yard and talked part of the afterbnoon.
