Saturday August 7th 1886 Will and I took a ride this morning and Bob went with us. when we came back Mother went to town with him and did not come back till after the train started for berlington. John & Robbie went down tonight. I talked with Will most of the afternoon. Sunday August 8th 1886 Ott & Mother went to the valley and Will and I were riding most of the forenoon. I got the dinner over and it was too hot in the afternoon to do any thing but rest. We had supper after the folks came home and sat on the porch in the evening. Monday August 9th 1886 Will went to the valley to fix fence and I went with him. We had dinner at Aunt Ellens. It was three oclock when we got home and we found Grandma here. The Whetstones came from Burlington today and Hatt and Mollie Stevens was here in the evening. Tuesday August 10th 1886 I went to town with Will this morning to get some things for dinner. When we came back I went to the pasture. Mrs Folsom was here with her mother spending the day. Wedneasday August 11th 1886 Will and I went to the pasture to water the horses and she we got back he took the old ladies to Hatts to spend the day. He had only got back when there was a heavy shower. he went after them in the evening. Thursday August 12th 1886 It was a fearful warm day. Grandma and I spent the day down to Folsoms. Will took us there and came for us. He had the headache & so did not spend the day there with us.
