Thursday January 4th 1883. We got the work done up as quick as possible and Rob and Mother started to the valley. I was busy about the work all day as I did some ironing Hatt came over in the afternoon and stayed till after supper. It snowed nearly all day. Friday January 5th 1883 I gave the house a good sweeping in the forenoon and soon after dinner I went to town in the sleigh with Lee I was down to Hatts awhile. Weather cold. Saturday January 6th 1883 I got through with the work so I was able to go over town right away after dinner. I spent the afternoon at Hatts, enjoyed it very much. Baby was so sweet and nice. I came home in plenty of time to help with the supper. I knit all the evening on Ottoe's socks. Weather a little milder. Mr Leonard came back tonight
