Saturday January 27th 1883 I did some mending in the forenoon besides the other work and in the afternoon Curtis Day and I went down to Grandmothers in the cutter. Aunt Em had an excellent supper and we had a very pleasant visit It was ten oclock when we got home. Weather pleasanter. Sunday January 28th 1883 It was the loveliest morning any one ever saw every thing was covered with a beautiful frost. I went to church and in the afternoon wrote a letter to Mifs Lewis John and Hatt were over a little while just before supper. In the evening wrote several letters and among them one to Cousin Jennie and sent her one of our group pictures
