Wednesday May 16th 1883 It was quite a pleasant day. Mother went to town in the morning to get things for dinner. I was busy about the house-work. I went over town right away after dinner and did not get home till night. I began another baby cap the one I made before I thought too small for Amanda's baby and gave to Lizzie Lindley for her three months old babe. Thursday May 17th 1883 It was another rainy disagreeable day I finished the hood I began and got one ready to line that I will send to Vene for her baby. I played on the piano in the evening. Friday May 18th 1883 It was a windy disagreeable day and I was at home till after supper I went to town. Jake Lamb was here for dinner and called with me at Hatties tonight I wrote a long letter to Mary Briggs tonight
