Wednesday September 19th 1883 I gave the lower story a good cleaning up this forenoon and in the afternoon, Miss Lippert and I went to town, did some trading and I was at Hatts till nearly supper time. I wrote to Will Reed in the eve. Thursday September 20th 1883 I soon got the work done up and sewed all the forenoon. just as dinner was ready John and Jake Stinson with their wives came. They stayed till four oclock. I cut out a couple of shirts for Father in the afternoon he went away on the afternoon train to Burlington and will go from there to the western part of the state. Weather showery. Friday September 21st 1883 I sewed all the forenoon and finished the shirts. Mother was over town. I washed out a few things in the afternoon and wrote a letter to Charles. It began raining in the evening. I fixed a skirt for myself
