Monday Oct 1st 1883 I got an early start at the washing and had it all done by nine oclock and went to town to see about getting a girl but had very poor success. It was nearly noon when I got home. I helped with the dinner and cut out some sewing in the afternoon that I worked at till bed time. Tuesday October 2nd 1883 I worked about the house till nearly noon We had two new boarders come this forenoon Mother and I both went to town as soon as we could and it was nearly supper time when we got back. She got her a new cloak and dress. I did part of the ironing before breakfast. Weather pleasant Wednesday October 3rd 1883 I got the work done up and finished the ironing before noon Grand Mother and Aunt Em spent the day here, we had a
