very pleasant visit. I was sewing what time I had in the afternoon and evening. I had a letter from Verne which I answered tonight. Thursday October 4th 1883 It was a gloomy rainy day. I went to town soon after breakfast and came right back I got the house cleaned up in time to do a little sewing before dinner, was busy all the afternoon working up some rags. Friday October 5th 1883 I had help to sew on Mothers dress and worked on it all day. We had the piano turned in the afternoon. I played a little in the evening. I put a little washing up in the garret this afternoon. Saturday October 6th 1883 I went to town this forenoon and cleaned up the house. I helped sew a little in the afternoon and did some ironing Mother was to town, it cleared of this afternoon I did some odd jobs of mending in the evening The boys and Mother and I sat up late to talk.
