Wednesday January 4th 1882. I was busy about my work all the forenoon did some ironing too. Two more of the boys came back this forenoon and we got one new boarder. I went to town soon after dinner and got a new stove for Downans room. When we had supper nearly ready I went over to Kate Rowes for supper. John & Hatt and Rob were there besides a Mr Funk and wife. We spent a very pleasant evening and came home at nine. Thursday January 5th 1882. I got up early to do the washing I worked very hard till noon and in the afternoon worked on edging. Mother went to town. Bridget came tonight. Friday January 6th 1882. I went over to Hatts and worked all day on a macrame shopping pocket for Clara Shirts I came home just before night and worked on it all the evening A letter from Will, and Cousin Jen is married.
