Sunday April 9th 1882. It was a very pleasant morning and Otto and I went to church. I was down to Hatts a few moments before I came home. They were over in the afternoon and brought the baby. It turned colder toward evening and at night began to rain. I played on the piano all the evening. Monday April 10th 1882. After I had done my morning work up stairs I did a lot of baking before noon. I went to town after dinner and down to Hatts where I intended to stay only a little while but stayed till late to come up town with Hatt to pick out carpet and curtains. I got home just as supper was ready. I played on the piano in the evening and read a little in "Romola" one of "George Elliotts" novels. Weather cold and wintry.
