Thursday April 20th 1882 It was a very pleasant day. Bridget did a large washing and I swept the upper part of the house before noon. After dinner just as I finished cleaning up the parlor bed-room Hatt and Mrs Carney came. Mrs C-- had come on the morning train. They had baby with them and stayed till four oclock. After they went home I cleaned the parlor up nicely. I read in the evening. Friday April 21st 1882. It was a windy disagreeable day and Mrs Carney was here all day. We stayed right at home. I fixed my light polinaise to wear with my black silk skirt. Wrote to Lou Reeves in the eve. Saturday April 22nd 1882. I was busy about the house all the forenoon, practiced in the afternoon and read in the evening. A howling windy disagreeable day.
