Wednesday April 26th 1882. Mother went to the valley this forenoon. I practiced an hour while Bridget started the dinner. I was busy sewing all the afternoon to get my things ready to go to the Odd Fellows ball tonight We had a good time. John Hatt and Jennie were there. Weather cold and chilly. Thursday April 27th 1882. I went over town before dinner and when I came home slept awhile. I read all the afternoon and played on the piano in the evening. Hatt and Jennie were over after supper for milk. Friday April 28th 1882. I got my work done and practiced awhile before dinner. I went over to Hatts to help sew in the afternoon. Jennie came home with to stay all night. I read a little in the evening. Weather still cold and wintry.
