Friday May 26th 1882. Mother and May went to town this morning and they hadent more than got there till it began to rain. Mother got home but May stayed over all night. Jennie did not come today but I worked done all day. Saturday May 27th 1882. It rained nearly all day I sewed all day and part of the evening. Sunday May 28th 1882. I worked about the house all the forenoon and after dinner wrote a letter to Mary Briggs. John and Hatt came over with the baby and stayed till after supper. I wrote to Charlie and Laura Short in the evening. Weather pleasanter. Monday May 29th 1882. I was busy about the house most of the forenoon but helped Jennie sew in the afternoon and worked some in the evening. I had a letter from Cousin Jennie today.
