Friday June 16th 1882. I worked very hard all the forenoon and rested awhile before I went to town in the afternoon. I met with Hatt over to the drill and went on home with her stayed till after supper and got caught in a terrible rain coming home. Saturday June 17th 1882. I was busy at home all day. Hatt was over with the baby and Mr Greens sisters came from Cedar Rapids The weather was intensely warm, and at night we had another hard storm. Sunday June 18th 1882. I was busy about the house all the forenoon and read a little in the afternoon. Wrote a letter to Winnie It was a cool gloomy day. John & Blanche Helmich came tonight. Monday June 19th 1882. Weather some-what pleasanter I did not go over to the exercises but was busy at home all day, played on the piano a little while in the afternoon.
