Saturday July 1st 1882. We girls were about the house most of the forenoon but the boys were down town. After dinner Anna and I went to see Grand-ma McAden and a daughter of Uncle Jerry's. It was nearly supper time when we got back and had a call from Jake Chrysons who used to live with Grand-pa We young folks went up to the cemetery after tea, had a pleasant walk and It is certainly the most beautiful spot I ever saw. Mr & Mrs Marrion Minear called in the eve I wrote a short letter to Charlie today. Sunday July 2nd 1882. Newton brought Rob and I out to Briggs this morning where we passed the forenoon very pleasanty. Rob, Mary and I went to church in the afternoon and came around past Uncle Majors place. We found an excellent supper ready for us when We came home, and Mart took us on down town after supper.
