Wednesday July 5th 1882. We spent the forenoon pleasantly here and started home about noon Mrs Offett was waiting dinner when we arrived to which we did justice. There was a shower after dinner which interferred with our trip to the cemetery and Newt brought us out to Marys before supper time. It was a cold chilly evening and we sat by a fire all the evening to talk. I had a short letter from Charlie. Thursday July 6th 1882. Rob took Mary and I up to her fathers place to spend the day. Mary took the baby with her. Rob went over to Marts farm near there for him before dinner and he stayed there all the afternoon Which was well employed visiting. After an excellent supper we started home. We devoted most of the evening to music Mary played and we all sang some old songs. Weather cool and pleasant.
