Sunday July 9th 1882. Very soon after breakfast Will, Rob Mr Jones and I started to the country The road out was beautiful beyond description and some of the scenery simply grand We drove nearly twenty miles before we stopped where we saw a large spring that was a great curiosity. After supper this we went back two miles to a little town where we had ordered dinner. At two oclock having been detained by a shower we started back home stoping first to see Jennie Decker whom we found at home our stay was short and extremely pleasant. We called next at Henry Andersons and found Tenyson and his family there. We made considerable of a stop there. It was nearly night when we got home where we found supper ready for us The ride home was delightful. I dont know that I ever enjoyed a ride more. We were all tired and went to bed early.
