Mrs Steele and made a short visit at Uncle Jerrys. We came back to Offetts just at tea time. After supper Rob Anna and I went down street, to call on Grand-ma McAden and Solomen Minears family When we came back found Marion Minear and wife with Mr & Mrs Esker there to see us. They all left at ten oclock and we went to bed immediately. Tuesday July 18th 1882. We started from Chillicothe at three in the evening morning and took breakfast at Cincinnatti. The ride from there to Indianapollis was very pleasant and we had an hours wait there for dinner. From there we rode to Danville Ill before five oclock where we only visited ten minutes for a train to Cerro Gordo where my cousin Melinda Shasteen lives. She with her two little girls met us at the depot at seven oclock. We spent the evening pleasantly but went to bed rather early.
