Sunday August 6th 1882. I felt too tired to do much of any thing today. Mother and Rob went to the valley and Bridget to church so I had the dinner to get which took a part of the forenoon. I slept some after dinner and in the evening wrote a long letter to Cousin Jennie We had two heavy showers of rain today Monday August 7th 1882. I got up very early and began to sew carpet we finished about eleven oclock and got the dinner while Bridget did some other work in the afternoon Mother and I papered the north-east room before supper time and in the evening we put down the carpet in Robs room. Weather warm. Tuesday August 8th 1882. We sewed the carpet for the south west room and got it down before dinner. In the afternoon cleaned the south-east room up stairs and the two halls and stairways. It was a cool pleasant day. We heard from Lee today and I had a letter from Will Reed.
