Tuesday August 22nd 1882. I got up real early and had most of the ironing done before breakfast. Rob and I went to town about nine oclock in the phaeton. I got a lot of things and a bushel of peaches. I drove home alone. Aunt Em was here for dinner and Mother and I worked all the afternoon putting up peaches. I was very tired so went to bed early. Weather hot and the dust just terrible. Wednesday August 23rd 1882. I was busy about the house most of the forenoon and in the afternoon finished Fathers shirts. Weather very warm indeed Bridget was over in the afternoon, awhile I played on the piano in the evening. Thursday August 24th 1882. I did up the work while Mother went to town after groceries. she went to Mrs Luse to a tea party. There was a heavy shower of rain in the afternoon. I cut out the sheets and made one, played on the piano in the evening.
