Wednesday August 30th 1882. I was busy about the house most of the forenoon and sewed in the afternoon. The girls went over town this morning and did not come home to dinner. They came back the middle of the afternoon and Lee went with them to the valley. Otto still keeps sick. Rob and I went down to the party at Aunty Ems taking John & Hatt along, has a very pleasant time. Weather cooler. Thursday August 31st 1882. I did up the work while Mother went to town. I made some apple jelly while she was gone. We put up another bushel of peaches in the afternoon. I was very tired and went to bed early. Otto does not seem any better. Friday September 1st 1882. It was a steady rainy day I swept and cleaned the whole house in the forenoon and did some work in the kitchen after dinner, and some mending besides cleaning out the lower part of the dish cup-board Otto is no better.
