Monday September 4th1882. I got up early to do the washing and had it all done and the cleaning up done before eleven oclock. I then helped with the dinner. Hatt was over most of the afternoon with the baby. I did part of the ironing and in the evening I wrote a long letter to Vene, pleasant day. Tuesday September 5th 1882. I got up and nearly finished the ironing before breakfast. Mother went to town early in the forenoon to send our new chairs home. We got the dinner over after she got home And in the afternoon Otto and I went to town in the buggy. The girls started home this afternoon We dried a lot of corn. I played on the piano in the evening. Wednesday September 6th 1882. I got up early and nearly had the washing done before breakfast. Our new machine works splendid. Rob went to
