Saturday October 7th 1882. I got the house all cleaned up and my cake baking done by noon so as soon as the dinner dishes were washed I laid down to sleep till time to get the supper. It was a gloomy rainy day Lee was at home sick all day. I did some mending in the eve_ Sunday October 8th 1882. I was busy about the house all the forenoon. It was a rainy day. I wrote a short letter to Charlie and a longer one to Anna Offett. Monday October 9th 1882. It was a pleasant morning and I got up early to do the washing I got that all done the house cleaned up and porches scrubbed before noon. Mother went to town in the afternoon and I did the ironing We all went to Uncle Jims to the party had a very pleasant time while there but the coming home was horrible for it was raining. Lee stayed all night.
