Monday October 23rd 1882. I got an early start at the washing and did that and cleaned the house up before dinner. I scrubbed the porch right away after dinner and then ironed till nearly supper time. I helped do up the supper work and was tired enough to go right to bed. Tuesday October 24th 1882. We hurried to get the work done up this morning as we were expecting company, Grand-ma and Aunt Em. Mrs Halson and her Mother and Hatt brought baby over to stay all day. We had a splendid visit with them. After they started home about four oclock I finished the ironing I did not do yesterday. It was a perfectly splendid day. Rob and Ott went down to Washington this morning on the early train and came back tonight with Father in the buggy. I had a letter from Will Reed.
