Wednesday Nov 1st 1882. I was busy about the work all the morning and played on the piano in the afternoon while Mother was gone to town. I sewed a little in the evening, but went to bed early. Thursday October [November] 2nd 1882. I did the work alone today as Mother and Hatt went to the valley. I practiced two hours in the afternoon, In the evening finished fixing my old silk dress. Friday October [November] 3rd 1882. I was busy about the house all the morning and was over town all the afternoon, did some trading and made several calls. Hatt and Mrs C_ was here while I was gone. In the evening began to knit May some stockings Saturday October [November] 4th 1882. Was at home all day and busy about the work most of the day. Mother went to town in the afternoon and Hatt came home with her to supper. I knit a little in the afternoon and evening. Letter from Will Reed.
