58 Pomade Divine Beef Marrows one pd & half cleansed from Veins strings & Blood put it into an Earthen vessel fill'd with Spring water for three days changing the water night & morning then take it & squeeze it dry & put it into a pint of Rose water for twenty four hours then hang it up in a Cloth till the liquid is thoroughly drain'd from it then take the following ingredients reduced to powder and mix them well with the Marrow Of Gum Storase one Ounce Gum Benjamin one Oz Cyprus powder by way of perfume 1 oz Orris Root 1 Oz (that of Florence is to be had Cinnamon half an Oz Cloves two Drams Nutmeg two Drams put all these ingredients together into an Earthen pitcher or Jar that will hold 3 [pint?] stop it as close as possible to prevent evaporation, Suspend it in a large Pot of
