To Make Good Soap Mrs Kenyon Melt a pound of Soft Soap and one pound of Spormicity together when near cool put in an ounce of Camphoric which must be first rubbed into a little spirits of Wine as it will be Lumpy when all is quite smooth scnt it with Essence of Lavender or Lemon as you like best do not boil it two much or it will be Lumpy Orange Marmalade Pair your oranges very thin then rub them with Salt put them in cold Water for a day then boil them in water till very tender then put the pulp through a Hair Sive while hot then cut your oranges into slices have ready [cleared?] their weight in Sugar before the Juice is taken out and to every pound of Sugar a gill of Water & the Juice of one Lemon boil all up together after you have cut your oranges till they Jelly - To Make Little Cakes Mrs Gatteft half a pound of Flower ditto of Sugar a quarter of a pound of butter - rubbed in the Flower the rind of a Large Lemon gratted three eggs having out two whites two ounces of sweet Almonds cut in very small pieces mix them well together & lay them in Balls upon Tins. ten Minutes will bake them -
