for a Scalded Burn or Scald. One Pint of Lime Water one pint of cool drawn Linseed Oil, and half a pint rectified Spirits of Wine - put in a Bottle & shake it up when used - for a Cold Take a Spoonful of Honey half a Spoonful of Oatmeal as much Butter as the size of a Nutmeg - rub it very smooth with the back of a Spoon - & when quite smooth pour half a pint of boiling water upon it & cover it close in a pot by the fire till it is dissolved and drink it when you go to Bed. To make Ginger Wine To every Gallon of Water measure two pound & half of Loaf Sugar and one ounce of white Ginger to each Gallon - let this boil half an hour; scum it - when near cold put in a little yeast - let it work ten days stirring it twice a day - when turn'd add a Lemon to each Gallon - grate the rind very thin
