To make Thieves Vinegar Take of Rue Sage Wormwood mint Rosemary & Lavender of each one handful infuse them together in a Gallon of the best White Wine Vinegar - put the whole into a Stone Pot closely cover'd & pasted over the cover - set the Pot thus closed up - upon worm wood Ashes for eight days - after which draw off or strain the liquid thro' a fine flannel and put it into Bottles well corked - & into every Quart Bottle put a quarter of an ounce of Camphire with this preparation wash your Mouth and rub your loins and temple every day snuft a little up your nostrills when you go into the air & carry a Sponge dipt in the same to smell at upon occasion - or when near any Person that is affected -
