Seeds as you like, first beat up the butter to a Cream with your hands minding to beat it one way least it oil - then by degrees beat in your Eggs, Sugar, & flour till it goes into the oven. bake it in a quick oven - it will take an hour and quarter to bake it. - A Diet drink Take four quarts of the best wort a handful of Wormwood a handful of red Sage a handful of Water Cresses - a handful of Horse mint ditto of Brooklime, do of Mountain Flax. boil them all together & work them well, when it has stood to be clear drink it. - Mrs Robinson's Cake Winstanley Two pound of Flour four Eggs leaving out two Whites - three spoonfuls of Yeast, a quarter of a pound of Butter rubbed in the flour a little Milk Sugar & Currants. let it stand to rise half an hour & bake it. -
