To Stew Cucumbers Pare off their Rinds cut them in thick Slices - Slice a large Onion then stew it in a little water with pepper and Salt. do this before you put in the Cucumber - stew them together till they are tender - thicken it with flour and Butter if you fry the Cucumbers before they are stew'd it make them a better brown. - if you wish it high add Catchup or gravy. Decoetion of Bark An Ounce of Bark upon which pour rather more than a pint of water which has been boil'd but not at the minute of boiling. let it stand all night and stir it well - and then strain it - add a little cinnamon - a Seville orange Peel is a good addition. Breakfast Cakes or Sally Lums - One pound of flour two ounces of Butter melted in warm Milk two table spoon
