lay it on with a Brush - If you have good sharp Sand perfectly dry the washing it may be dispensed with - shoud you wish to alter the Colour by making it either lighter or darker it will be easily done by encreasing or diminishing the proportions of the Ocre & Bone Black - if your walls are Mesy - the Mos shou'd be well rubbed off or the Composition will not adhere - your Servant shoud attend to the Masons weighing the different ingredients each time they are mix'd or it will not be all of the same Colour - I found that the following quantity might be conveniently mix'd at one time Sand -- 80 Lb. 0 Oz. Lime -- 40 - 0 Ocre -- 6 1/2 - 0 Bone Black -- 1 1/2 -
