fire 12 hours, but if too hot it will not work so well - then bottle it and it will be fit for use the day after - It will keep in Summer 8 days - in winter about a fortnight. - In all other aspects it must be mixed and made into bread the same as the other - mix'd over night and it will be ready to knead into loaves the next morning by 8 oClock - It has been found that this receiipt is less apt to give an acid leavened taste to the bread by standing thus all night to rise, than the one without the flour and Sugar. - Receipt Miss Cowell - Two ounces of flour of Brimstone - one ounce of Cream of Tartar - half an ounce of Jalep - half of treacle worked up together very fine - A Tea Spoonful or two to be taken at Night. - Compound Rhubarb Pills Mr Rogerson Take of Rhubarb root in powder, one ounce Socatorine aloes Six dracms - powdered [amyrh?] half an ounce - volatile Oil of peppermint half a draem - beat them into a mass with Syrup of orange peel or Mucilage of Gum arabick. - In three or five grain pills
