of Sugar - a few Carraway Seeds rolled in if liked a little good yeast - Make it into Cakes the size you like - let them stand a while to rise and bake them - They shou'd not stand to rise before made into Cakes - But that is not named in the old recipe - Mrs Thing Bath Sally Jams One Egg well beaten one spoonful of good yeast some good Milk made warm mix them well together - then take ten Ounces of fine flour and two Ounces of butter mix all well together and let them stand to rise & bake for use - the flour and butter must be mixed well together before the other ingredients are put in Tea Cakes such as we used to have Mrs Thing To about a pound of flour put as much loaf Sugar as will sweeten a [dish?] of tea - a good spoonful of fresh yeast - mixed with new Milk one Egg - beat - work it well - let it stand to rise half an hour - Make it into Cakes - and let them stand to rise to their full height, before they are put into the oven
