Monday June 20th 1881 While Bridget did the washing. I cleaned up the rooms up stairs and helped Mother with the dinner. Mr Owens and John Helmicks brother came about noon. Hatt was over in the afternoon. Will Pentzer came up in the forenoon. I baked cake in the afternoon and went over to the class day exercises. I rode both ways with Mr & Mrs Carney, Judge Day wife and daughter came tonight on the six oclock train. They attended the exercises in the evening. Tuesday June 21st 1881. We were all astir early this morning to attend the law commencement. I walked over with Mr Day and sister. When we came out the Opera house I met Mr Jacksons Mother and Father. I stayed at home in the afternoon and rested. Mr Giesler was here awhile in the afternoon but part of the boys were invited over to Hatts for supper. Mother was over to call on Jacksons folks in
