For the Mange One ounce of Sulphur Adivioum, 1 oz of flour of Brimstone - 1/2 oz of Spirits of Turpentine Made into an ointment with Hogs Lard, Anoint the Dog - particularly the joints & Backbone every other day Mrs. J. Lordale To make Goosberry Wine To 4 lb of Goosberries when picked from the leaves, choppd, add one Gallon of cold water - let it stand three days in a washing Tub stirring it twice a day - then strain it thro' a sieve, & to every Gallon of Liquor add three pounds of Loaf Sugar - to every five gallons of wine, add a Bottle of Brandy and a piece of Isinglass - when dissolved Barrel it up & in six months try it. Mrs. J. Lordale Collar Mackerel The same as Eels only omitt the sage and add a little lemon peel sweet herbs and nutmeg
