of Treacle make it into Cakes. 43 A plain Seed Cake Take two ounces of flour five ounces of butter rubbed into the flour three ounces of Sugar a tea spoonfull of carraway seeds three quarters of a pint of Milk two spoonfulls of yeast a little of the flour is to be kept out to work it. three quarters of an hour will bake it. 44 Apple Cheese Cakes Pound and Grate six apples add to them half the quantity of bread boiled in a little milk while it is warm put in a bit of Butter five yolks and two whites of eggs a little Brandy & rose water the juice and rind of a Lemon grated a little cream and sweeten it to your taste.
