Make syrup and boil some lemon peel and a good quantity of Ginger in it the outside being scooped When your syrup is cold take your Cucumbers out of the Water and wipe them very dry and put them into your Syrup. Boil the Syrup once every two days and repeat it two or three times untill your Cucumbers look clear putting a little fresh sugar every time. Let the Syrup always be cold before You put it to the Cucumber's. Melon's to be done the same way.
