Thursday February 5th 1880 As soon as I helped a little with the work this forenoon and then went over to town I went right down to Aunty Smiths. I found her very bad indeed I staid there about an hour and went up to Eugene Horts for dinner. About three oclock I came down to Mrs Middletons and Robs came there to supper. I went to church in the evening and Rob came home with me. I began Rob some mittens. Friday February 6th 1880 I helped all the forenoon about the work. Mollie and Libbie Stevens were here for dinner and Hatt went home with them. Will Chalfont came this morning and told us Aunty died last night. Father and Mother went down this afternoon. I did the work and knit on Robs mittens what spare time I had. It is two years today since Etta died.
