Monday February 16th 1880 I did the washing this forenoon and as soon as I could after dinner dressed and went to town. I did a little trading and then went to see Lucy Hine where I stayed till nearly five oclock. I worked on my chain stitching all the evening. Mr Russell paid me twenty dollars. Tuesday February 17th 1880 I did the ironing in the forenoon and worked at my chain stitching afternoon and evening. Weather rainy in the morning and turned cold at night. Wednesday February 18th 1880 I helped with the work all day. We had supper at five oclock for those who were to go to Aunt Erins party. The roads were terrible it took four hours to go and come. There was quite a party there and we did have a splendid time. We got home at four oclock. John came over here and stayed all night.
