state was here and stayed all night Rob and I went to the Baptist sociable. Thursday April 8th 1880 I helped do up the work this morning and sewed a little before dinner time. Mother went to town as soon as she got her dinner and came back about three oclock. Hatt and I went over to Esthers and did not get home till supper time. Lee took Mr Manning to Cedar Rapids in the buggy. Friday April 9th 1880 I sewed what time I had to spare today. Weather quite pleasant. I went over to Wins after supper and we went to society. May is five years old today. Lee got back home. Saturday April 10th 1880 I finished up what sewing I had begun for this week and helped with the house-work. Weather rather pleasant.
